Finding Data for 3D Terrain Modeling
For this extra credit assignment, please familiarize yourself with the program "Microdem" and plug in some data in 3-d. This program supports Digital Elevation Models (DEMs). You can perform view shed analysis, terrain profiling, oblique visualization, and create virtual 'fly through' movies. Do some screen captures ('alt-print screen' to copy and then paste the image into word) of maps and images you make to submit by the end of class.
